One of Brave Little Beast’s very first clients, Breslow Eye Care is a private optometrist practice with locations in Bexley and Lancaster, Ohio. Drs. Matt and Nadine Breslow look after patients of all ages, ensuring their eyes remain healthy and problem-free for years to come. They also carry a full stock of designer eyeglasses and contact lenses.
We’ve helped Breslow establish their brand in a new market, expand to a second location, and consistently stay at the top of the search results for their keywords.
When we began our relationship with Breslow, they had a name picked out but nothing to go along with it, so naturally setting them up with a new logo was the first step. We settled on a modern “B” mark and paired it with a deep, calming blue color palette.
We also developed a photography style and pattern library so that as the brand began to expand we would have plenty of content to pull from.
With the identity established, we shifted our focus to the collateral that would surround the brand. Our goal was to design everything the patients would come in contact with, echoing Breslow’s strong commitment to creating an amazing patient experience.
We thought about each step of the process, from the moment a patient walks into the office for the first time, asking “How can we make this better?” at every touchpoint. The result is an ecosystem of collateral that supports the work of the doctors and reinforces the company’s values.
With the physical brand experience taken care of, we shifted focus to their digital presence. When it comes to web design, most optometrists aren’t exactly on the cutting-edge. Eye doctors generally use template services that spit out a generic website, or worse yet, they have no website at all. With that in mind, we made the decision to build Breslow a completely custom WordPress site from the ground up to truly separate them from the competition.
We started with wireframes, laying out all the content in simple grey boxes. This gives us a chance to make sure we have space for everything on the page and it gives our clients something they can react to and sign off on. Once the wireframes were approved, we moved on to the design and development phases, creating an experience completely unique to their practice and tailored specifically to their needs.
Designing and developing the website was only half of the battle. The real work is getting eyes on it. So once the site was live we began work on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Pay-Per-Click (PPC). We did a full audit, finding out which keywords were being used by their tribes and focused on those areas specifically. Through a mixture of regular blog posting, tailored website content, and custom metadata, the Breslow website is consistently out-performing their competition on a monthly basis, supplying the office with a steady stream of new patients.
